A generous donation of £1500 last year from DBS Law’s community interest company, DBS Heart, made it possible to hold three exclusive lunches at Hotel du Vin, with the aim to promote the Society and drive up corporate membership from businesses across the city. The attendees views were sought on the key issues facing the city as well as what the Society could do to support their business and staff. The lunches were a great success with many attendees signing up as members in addition to offering to host events.
Chairman Gavin said:
“It’s been great to be able to put on these lunches as a way to meet businesses who are passionate about our city and also to raise the profile of the Society. The lunches have also been fruitful in improving our membership.”
“We would like to thank DBS Law for their incredibly generous support both financially and logistically with setting up these lunches, and to Hotel du Vin for hosting them.”
Louise Johal, Associate Director of DBS Law, spoke of the need to support bodies such as the Civic Society, saying:
“We are delighted to have been able to support the Birmingham Civic Society through these lunches and are thrilled to hear that they have been of great benefit to the organisation.”
“Organisations such as the Civic Society are incredibly important to the commercial fabric of any city, particularly one that has such commercial pedigree and citizen pride as Birmingham. DBS Law is proud to help promote these values and support the Birmingham Civic Society in its aims.”
