Our Summer Reception for corporate members took place last month with Joe Godwin, Director of the BBC Academy and BBC Birmingham as guest speaker. Joe explained his priority building BBC Birmingham as a strong sustainable base in the city and how their new traineeships will help fill the digital skills gap. Before taking questions from the audience, Joe reminded guests to celebrate the excellent content already made here and offered to host a visit to the BBC next year.
