Birmingham Post Power 250 names Caroline Coates, Chair of our Ambassadors

The Birmingham Post recently identified 250 senior figures that they considered to be the region’s most influential people and key to the future of the city. We are delighted that our Chairman, Gavin, and Deputy Chairman, Nick Venning, are listed as representatives of the Civic Society in the ‘Campaigners and Activists’ sector and that Trustee and Ambassador, Tony Elvin, and Caroline Coates, Chair of our Ambassadors, are listed in their professional capacities, influencing hospitality and the law.

Caroline said: “DWF are proud to be associated with, and supporters of, Birmingham Civic Society. The Post’s list demonstrates the strength of the Society’s connection with the local business community.”

Tony said: “I think the Power 250 list highlights a group of high profile, passionate and engaged local people, getting involved and ‘doing their bit’ for our city. It’s perhaps no surprise that a number of those are involved with our organisation. What better way to do your bit for your city than through an organisation like the Civic Society?”

Nick said: “Whilst personally really surprised to be listed, it’s hugely gratifying to see so many of the Society’s trustees and co-optees included in the Power 250.  It just shows that we’re engaging the right people and focused on the right issues.  It’s a great accolade for the Society.”
