Birmingham Civic Society is delighted to announce a new initiative called ‘Centenary Spaces’.  The objective is to promote and enhance active citizenship within primary schools and community groups from across Birmingham by creating small urban green spaces in locations that may be neglected.

The Centenary Spaces initiative is FREE to five selected Birmingham Primary schools and community groups and is a project-based programme which aims to develop pupils’ skills in team-working and problem solving, and helps the pupils in Birmingham to become active citizens that contribute positively to future of our city.  The programme also enables community groups to do something that they may have been putting off due to lack of resources.

We are looking for applicants to take part in the project and corporate supporters to help us fund and facilitate.
