September has been packed full of The City Beautiful events contributing to a hugely successful Birmingham Heritage Week. Darren Share gave us a fascinating insight into the history of Birmingham Parks at Aston Hall, Ranger Jim Harrison guided visitors around Aston Park, looking at work of the Society and almost 70 visitors joined artist Sally Harper in a garden inspired felt making family workshop. Birmingham Cathedral’s Heritage Manager, Jane McArdle celebrated the life and work of Edward Burne-Jones on a guided tour of aspects of the city associated with the artist and a keen group (including dog) joined Irene de Boo to discover the history of Cannon Hill Park.
