For the first time in the history of the Society, a Blue Plaque has been unveiled this month to an organisation who is contributing to the life of the city today, rather than to an individual who has made a significant impact in the past. The special centenary Blue Plaque, awarded to SIFA Fireside, who support vulnerably housed and homeless adults in the city, was unveiled at an assembly at Chandos Primary School, attended by the Lord Mayor of Birmingham, a past pupil, and the children who made the case for SIFA Fireside to win.
