Since 1918, Birmingham Civic Society has championed civic pride and worked to make Birmingham a better place for everyone. We  celebrate our city’s past and believe in our city’s future, and we would love for you to join us.

As a registered charity and a membership-based organisation, we depend upon subscriptions from those who are mad about our city to achieve what we do. Whether you are a citizen, a community group or a private company, your support means we can do more. Join us and make a difference.

As a member you will be part of a community that helps to shape our work as we continue to grow. Without our members, we couldn’t support Birmingham the way we do. With subscriptions from our members we have:

  • Planted over 80,000 trees to keep Birmingham green, beautiful and breathing
  • Promoted and protected public art for all to enjoy
  • Enabled young people to be active citizens and create solutions to issues facing their communities
  • Celebrated the people and places that have shaped our city and put it on the map
  • Informed decisions on Birmingham’s built environment and its effects on its citizens

We have several membership options – corporate, individual, joint and young persons (new for 2019).

We are grateful for your financial support and can’t wait for you to get involved and work with us to serve your city in various ways.

In return for your membership contribution, you get access to exclusive events and the opportunity to meet like-minded people who are just as passionate about Birmingham as you. You can be as involved in the work of the Society as you wish, helping to shape the work we do by joining one of our committees or simply turning up to events and getting to know your fellow members.

For corporate members, there are opportunities to inform debates, network with other key figures and organisations from across the city and provide opportunities to the next generation and celebrate the city’s achievements and heritage. Corporate members will receive five individual memberships to distribute amongst employees.

If you prefer to do things offline then please download our personal or corporate membership form.

We would like to say thank you to our current corporate members
